I've been a journalist for over a decade, working as both a reporter and in marketing, before branching into online content management. In that time my work has developed into building websites, gathering data analysis and growing online audiences for multiple brands without relying solely on the algorithms of social media and related channels where your content is owned by mega corporations.

Both building a site AND running it with a knowledge of what makes quality content: I can offer a bespoke package without you having to go to different companies for the required resources.

And having worked for companies who have represented various SMEs, I know what a challenge it is with smaller budgets and limited resources to take on digital management yourself. There simply isn't enough time in the day!

Why use Wix for my site?

The golden question! In my experience I've found Wix to be a highly customisable site with the ability to develop a unique quality website to suit any industry. For the client, its range of pricing plans are affordable, it's got a 24/7 support network, but most importantly, its SEO tools are second to none! It's not essential, but I would highly recommend for SMEs for speed, efficiency and very importantly, cost!

Why is social media not mentioned/included in my package?

Social is of course very important, but I have two reasons - number one, social media is an art in itself, and I'd rather be upfront with clients and say it requires a full-time job to get it right, something that I don't have the capacity to do within my own remit. Reason number two though, is because of what I offer instead - through directing traffic to your own website, you are developing your own loyal customers and a unique database from which to market your services - if it's coming straight to you, then you own it without a reliance on social! However, part of my service DOES include setting up social media settings on your website, so you can post direct links on your social pages should you wish to, so the technical end is still covered, I'm just limited by time.

What do you charge for your services?

I operate an hourly rate for my services, so each client's quote will be different dependant on how many hours a week I'm required, plus the length of time I will be managing website content following completion of a site. I don't charge anything upfront, instead opting for a weekly/monthly bill for the hours worked in that period.
